Classes are Back!!! Raven's Table will be offering cooking classes in the beautiful Sunrise Kitchen located at 1501 Learnard Ave, Lawrence, KS. Fill out the contact form at the bottom of the page indicating which class(es) you are interested in. Payments can be made by check or through Venmo. Payments must be received at least two days prior to the day of class to hold your spot.

January 24nd Thursday 6:30-8:30: Comfort Foods of Germany $40
Winter and comfort foods go together like sausage and sauerkraut! Explore the German Table starting with a beautiful Potato Beet Soup; followed by Sautéed German Sausages with Bacon and Apple Sauerkraut. To honor Kansas' German heritage we'll sample Bierocks (beef and cabbage stuffed bread) served with a side of Boiled Potatoes topped with Dill Sauce. We will finish on a sweet note of German Apple Strudel with Cream. Bring your favorite German beverages, a comfy outfit, and lets EAT!!!
February 14th Thursday 6:30-8:30: From Paris with Love $40 (Couples welcome, but not required!)
One of the best ways we show love to others and ourselves is through food! In this cooking class we will tantalize our senses with a rich French meal. We will awaken our taste buds with a velvety Chestnut Soup, to be followed by a classic Frisee Salad with a warm Coriander Bacon Vinaigrette. For our main course the classic Chicken Cordon Bleu accompanied by a rich Cauliflower Gratin. And as no Valentines day meal is complete without chocolate, with will end with decadent Chocolate Mousse! Bring a lovely French wine to accompany our meal and LET'S EAT!!!
February 26th Tuesday 6:30-8:30: Spanish Pintxos (tapas) $40
Beat the winter blues with a culinary trip to sunny Spain! We will dine on several different Pintxos (tapas) starting with Olives with Orange and Lemon (AceitunasMarinadas) followed by Goat Cheese Stuffed Piquillo Peppers. Next we will enjoy the Tortilla Española (potato omelet), a delicious mainstay of Spanish tables, accompanied by a fresh Winter Salad of Fennel and Oranges. We will finish up with Tuna and Olive Turnovers (Empanadillas con Aceitunas yAtún). Vamos a tapear!" means “Let’s go eat tapas!" Don't forget to bring a good Rioja or Proseco!
March 5th Tuesday 6:30-8:30: Mardi Gras Party Foods $40
Don your Mardi Gras beads and get in the spirit, as we enjoy the fusion of cultures that brought the world delicious Cajun Cuisine! We’ll start class with roux making basics that will be the base of Chicken Sausage Gumbo. Next we’ll explore the Mardi Gras staple Red Beans & Rice, served with a side of Cajun Green Beans with Pecans, and finish with Bread Pudding and Whiskey Sauce. Head on down to the Sunrise Kitchen and don't forget your favorite Mardi Gras beverage!– Laissez les bon temps rouler -Let the good times roll!
March 19th Tuesday 6:30-8:30: Welcoming Spring on the Irish Isles $40
Spring has Sprung bringing the luck of the Irish to our Culinary Adventure! To start we will wake up our senses with beautiful Spinach Pie with a side of Hot Beets with Cream. Next up we will make Colcannon, a dish of kale and potatoes to eat alongside our hearty Irish Lamb Stew. For a desert a rich Guinness Chocolate Cake with a Cream Cheese Frosting! Don't forget the Guiness or the Whiskey, and Let's Eat!
